Before they were married, most women didn't have problems meeting up with friends. In fact, that was all they seemed to do. However, once married and with kids, a woman's social life gets narrowed down into couples-only activities, school-related activities and time with the family. While these are definitely her main priorities, a woman still needs her network of close-knit friendships to help sustain her and nourish her need for communication on a deeper level.
The problem for most married women is really finding the time because of all the activities that already occupy her day, most especially if she has more than one child. Below are some ideas to help create a regular schedule for "girlfriend time" that are sacred and for women only.
Create a Book Club
This is the perfect excuse to meet up and chat. However, the structure of a book club gives each woman an assignment to fulfill and a way to expand different points of view in a safe and intimate discussion. Each friend in the circle can suggest the following month's book and host the discussion. These women can still discuss their lives and catch up but the book club gives their meetings more structure and regularity.
