Education Outcomes

Everyone should have a section on their resume for education and another for work experience. However, because these sections are listed on every resume, each one has to be unique in order to make a positive impact on an employer. Like all parts of the resume, the education and work experience sections need to be concise and descriptive, highlighting the applicant's important or unique accomplishments.

Education on a Resume

Education should be listed chronologically from most recent to least. Always include the dates the education was completed, as this helps employers identify the reasons for any gaps in the applicant's employment history. At the very least, the name of the credential and the college or university where it was completed must be given.
